Downloading the wage tax declaration

You can easily and quickly download the wage tax declaration form from the website of the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration.

What is the wage tax credit?

The wage tax credit is a type of discount from the tax authorities. It reduces the amount of wage tax your employee needs to pay. This is because certain tax deductions are taken into account.

Note: You may only apply the wage tax credit with one employer at a time.

When to apply it? It's advisable to set the wage tax credit to 'yes' if your employee earns their highest income at your organization.

When not to apply it? If the employee works for another company and earns more there, it's wise to set the wage tax credit to 'no'.

How to change the wage tax credit?

You can change the wage tax credit at the start of any new period. To do this, you need to:

1. Have your employee fill out and sign a new form.
2. Inform your payroll administrator or accountant of the change.
