In 2009, Leon Ephraïm and Vince Schwidder founded Yummygum. A fusion of two independent businesses run by two good friends. Since then, it has grown into a team of 15 employees.

We had a remote conversation with Vince Schwidder, co-founder of Yummygum, where he shared insights on team growth, administration challenges and the role of Employes in their company.
Team growth and payroll challenges
Vince: “After working as a duo for a few years, we realized we needed to expand our team. When you have three or four employees, managing payroll manually is still doable. But as we grew to around eight employees, it became clear that this approach wasn’t scalable.”
At that point, we tried involving our accountant to handle extra payroll tasks. But that didn’t work well for us. We wanted more automation, easier reporting, and to spend less time on payroll tasks.
In 2019, we switched to Employes, and ever since, the platform has helped us achieve all those goals.
